Huang Xiong Wen is a successful professional painter, graduated in 1992 from the faculty of Fine Arts in Guangxi Normal University, majored in oil painting. He is known for painting human figures, animals and landscapes. Recently, he has smartly created thirty pieces of oil painting depicting the graceful life of the giant panda, the national treasure of China.

Howard graduated from Dunearn Secondary School in 1988. He is very thankful for the guidance given by all his teachers during his four-year stint there. To reciprocate his gratitude to his alma mater, he organised a Charity Art Exhibition in aid of needy pupils. The funds raised would be allocated for our students who are receiving help from FAS (Financial Assistance Scheme). It would be for their school pocket money, subsidy for school uniform, textbooks, etc. This would benefit at least 200 pupils from our school. The target of this exhibition is to raise $50,000 for the needy pupils of Dunearn Secondary School.
A total of 111 pieces of genuine fine arts, from 6 famous Singapore Artists and 6 China Artists will be put on sales. They include Chinese Calligraphy, Water Colour/ Chinese Inks and Oils.

Mr Choo Keng Kwang
Born in the year 1931 in Singapore, who is an anchored figure in the Singapore art circle for traditional paintings as well as one of the most eminent and beloved Singapore first generation artists. Best known for his oil paintings of doves as symbols of peace, and his enormously popular China town scenes. Artist Choo Keng Kwang has held and participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions locally and abroad. Famous auction houses, Christie and Sotheby have successfully auctioned some of his paintings with recorded prices. Choo’s collectors including the first moon-landing astronaut Neil Armstrong, Chairman Mao Tse-Tung, President Anwar Sadat of Egypt, the late President Ong Teng Cheong, the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Shangri-la Hotel etc. As a committed educationist, from 1986 to 1989 Choo was the dean of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, the leading art school in the region. Choo Keng Kwang is also a philanthropist, a supporter for young people, education and the less fortunate. He has helped raise fund not only for charitable organization but also for the education of a young musician, a school and some community centres. For all these years, Choo had raised more than one million dollars for many worthwhile causes.
